| Español Haiti-DR’s March/April 2010 Mission Trip Thanks and God Bless To Our Friends, Brothers and Sisters
Firstly thanks to Our Lord Jesus Christ All Majesty God. Thanks for the mercy and grace of chosen us as instruments of His Glory to touch, to change and to reach out souls for His Kingdom. Thanks to you for all your supports, prayers and spiritual coverts in our mission trip to Haiti and Dominican Rep. (DR) from March 23 to April 8, 2010. All Glory and Honor to Our Lord Jesus for 175 souls reach for His Kingdom. Aleluya!!! Thanks to my pastor Dr. Moirés Mercedes for giving me permission to participate in this mission, for sending me with his blessing. Our special thanks to Dr. Manuel Valdez, his wife Carmen Valdez and their children for allow us to stay in their home while we were in DR. Dr. Valdez is the next president of Dominican Rep. The Lord has said and we believe it. Thanks to my church Iglesias Principe de Paz for their support and prayers. I am so blessed for my congregation and my pastors. This was my first trip to Haiti and also my first mission trip. It has been unforgettable and life change experience that has made a great impact on my life and ministry. Observing the life in other countries, more than the physical needs, to see how much spiritual hunger and thirsty for God are people in those places. To share with people that have nothing, they lost the little that they had; they lost family members and love ones. Even though, they continue to worship the Lord with all they heart in the best way that they know. They have no limit for the Lord, they save their best clothes, their only shoes to go to the Temple to worship the Lord. A Temple made with straw, sail cloth, unpolished wood stake as chairs, floor of earth. That make you to reflect on life and take account of how much the Lord has given us (here in USA) and how little we have done for Him. I am not saying that we could pay back to the Lord, God forbid that we pretend to do certain thing (by the way, blessings are not to be paid back no matter who God use to bless us). No, we can do nothing to pay the Lord for His Love and Mercy for us. We only could give Him our life and all that we are; allow Him to use us as His will. Everything we do whether at Church (I mean the Church of Christ not a particular local church) or at secular fields we should do it, as if we do it for the Lord. After this trip, I cannot see myself doing anything different than serving Him, working for His Kingdom and worship Him; and after all, unprofitable servants I am. Thanks to Our Lord for allowing me to complete this mission safe and successfully next to great leaders, servants and priests of the All Majesty God. Thanks to John Bailey from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle Campground in Virginia, leader and organizer of this missionary trip; thanks for allow me to be part of his missionary group. To John Loewen and to Bernard Harh thanks for sharing with me in this mission. Thanks to Junior a young man that lives and studies in Santo Domingo, DR. he was our driver, translator and guide.
Thanks to my cousin Belgica Sanchez, a great woman of God who lives in San Cristobal, DR. She left her five youth between 12 to 21 years old under the supervision of one of my aunts to go with us. According to her own testimony she has the desire to go to Haiti since the earthquake; but, she had no way of going, so to receive my call with the invitation was an answer to the desire of her heart. She said this trip has made a spiritual growing and a great impact in her live. For me to share with my cousin in this trip, after 9 years without see her, it was an extra blessing and grace from the Lord. We want to thank Pastor Luckner Milhomme in Haiti, who was working with us and took us to diverse place in Haiti. Pastor Milhomme is an Apostle founder of 7 churches in Haiti; along with his wife Madam Magali are caring for the orphanage El Bethel the House of Children in Port Prince. Special thanks to Pastor Lerime Wilner and his family, we lodge at their home the entire time that we were in Haiti. He, His wife Madam Wilner, his children and Doudline care for us as royalties. Finally, thanks to all pastors, ministers and orphanages that allowed us to minister in their congregation and to their children.
Our very special thanks to all the children that received us so kindly and give us so much love. (Please pastors read these for them) I’ll you keep all in my heart. I understand now why John Bailey calls them “My children.” It was wonderful to see so many young children to give their tender heart to the Lord. That is the best experience that could happen to any child. IFORMATION: Josefina (203) 548-0508

What we are going to do for to change our cities? Next morning still in the mountain, I preached a message about the Samaritan Woman and how after her encounter with Jesus and drank from His Water she changed her city. All of us who has been full with His Holy Spirit have the power to change our city by let flow the River of His Glory that is in us. The sadness of the trip was to see so many street’s children. There were so many that we alone have no way to do much for them; but, together we could may a big different in their life. “…For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink… (Matthew 25:31-46). What we are going to do to change our cities?
You can make a difference in the life of these children
My heart got broke for many of those kind children that need to work as they were adults since very early age. The Spirit showed me how their childhood has been stole; they have been forced by their circumstances to become adult. In this country (USA) that is called child neglect and abuse, over there that it is their only way to survive. However, that is not how Our Father intent to be for our children. Children need a safety and secured place to grow up, they need to have their basic needs supplied, they need to be loved and to be cared by their parents or at least for an adult to be able to grow up with confidence, physical, emotional, mentally and spiritual healthy. please, let me clarify that it is their way to survive and may be their only option. That is the reality of our children in many of our countries. But, I would like to call your attention to take a step to make a different in the live of those children; oh, may in the life of just one child. You can contribute to change this generation and the coming one. By supporting our next mission trip; you can be part of this project by sending your financial donations or by going in future mission trips.

Final thanks and invitation I would like to invite you to continue supporting our next and future mission trips and other projects for the Kingdom of God. We need a new location for the orphanages El Bethel and for Community Salem. The village at the top of the mountain needs a church, a school and a community clinic. The souls harvest is ready in Dominican Rep. and in Haiti, and we need to flow with the Kairos of God for the harvest season. If you feel touch by the Holy Spirit to support us and be part of the mission work in others nations, helping to establish the Kingdom of God on the earth send your economic support. And/or, if you have a missionary called, you are ready to go to the field, and you would like to join with us in the next trip, please contact us at the address below. Thanks again to you. God bless you and The Lord might multiply one hundred percent all your investment on the Kingdom of God. “And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward” (Matthew 10:42). Amen. IFORMATION: Josefina (203) 548-0508 |

| My Trip report and Reflection
I will recall and share a brief reflection of some learning experience during the trip. Following Jesus model, I prefer to preach by sample using real people in real life situations down here on earth. It is here on earth where we need bring the Kingdom of God. As pastor Mercedes said, “It is in the darkness where you will know if you are Light.” So, I would like to testify about what the Lord has done in my life during this trip; how He shape me to be more like Him, to do what He wants to do in my life. By this, I would like to invite you to go in the next mission trip. If you feel the mission called, look for the face of the Lord to take a step of faith to go in the next trip. It will be a great experience for you; the Lord could change your life. I am not go into many details about the trip; please refer to John Loewen and John Bailey reports for more information. If you would like to support or to participate in future trip, please contact us at the information at the end. The purpose of this report is to provide information to our sponsors, to encourage you to participate and to support our future missions and projects for the Kingdom of God. But, overall it is to give Glory and Honor to Our Lord Jesus.
| The Lord does not make last minute improvise; He knows the end right at the beginning
On Monday 29 I had a glorious experience in the first mountain visited. Literary, I was at the exacted place that I was in a dream two week before the earthquake. The Lord always spoke to me in dreams. But, this time, detail by detail exactly as it was in the dream. The Lord was confirming to me that this trip was planned by Him, He sent me to this trip, He has a purpose for doing this and His purpose always to come true, even when everything appear not to go to happen. If it is His plan and purpose, it will happen. His Holy Spirit leads us to all true, John 16:13. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psalm 32:8). To be lead by the Holy Spirit does not mean that we should live without a purpose and plan for our life. Sometime we think that the Lord make last minute improvise. Miracles happen to fulfill a God’s purpose and plan, to work in people life, to supply our needs and to show His glory. But, never to build up our spiritual pride, or for us to have a great meeting. He has a purpose in every single thing that He does. Nothing takes Him by surprise. When He started something He already knew what the end is, right at the beginning. In Biblical stories when He called someone, He called them with a purpose and He always has a defined plan. We cannot reach our destine, if we do not know it, and if we have not a plan on how will be fulfill it. We may do not have what we need, and we may have not the strength and skills to do it; but that is where God glorify Himself. Abraham did not have details about how to get to where God called him; he was not physical able to have fulfill he destine. But, he knew his was going to Canaan; he knew God’s purpose and plan to bring him over there (Genesis 12:1-5). There was a purpose, a plan and destine.
| Peace in the middle of a storm before leaving My first experience started when I took an early train from Stamford to Washington was at 1:00AM. This trip was planned only two week in advance, and I did not stop until I have had all that I needed in place, funds, documents, passport, vaccine, etc. My mother came home to look over my apartment and to care of my dog Beauty. She loan me the money to buy some personal items for the trip, including two pants and pair of shoes. All money raised was used exclusive for the trip. I have not even $1:00 Dollar to go in this trip and the Lord provided all for me and my cousin. That afternoon before leaving, as a miracle, I got in contact with the person that will care for services at Mujer Virtuosa ministries and I gave her instruction as need. I did my shopping and other things that I need to do before leaving, including prepared my luggage. I did not know how, but I did it.
To have an idea how was my night before leaving, it was raining like a flood, I needed to go home to change my cloth and return to the train station, I have no car and the taxi driver was not to kind to me. Once at the train station I was received by a man asking questions; at 1:00 AM in the morning the Metro North in Stamford is much desolated; so, all my senses became alert, and I started to claim to the Lord for angels to protect me. The train was late about an hour. The man keep holding conversation, I did what I know to do; I started to preach to him. Then, he started to call me sister; but, the Spirit toldl me to ask him to confess the Lord. He shared some of his story and said he wanted to go to Washington looking for new opportunity but only had a ticket to Pennsylvania. Inside the train I paid the different for his ticket.
I could not sleep or rest in the train; I really did not feel safe, even when I sit at distance from the man. I suppose that was a normal reaction for a woman. Once in Washington I finally led him to the Lord. He was the first souls for the Lord in this trip. I introduce him to our trip leader who gave him some information and something to eat. Then, we headed for the airport.
9 Years without seeing my homeland We got to DR in the middle of the night, Valdez’s family picked up us at the airport. It was enjoyable to find a bed to rest after almost 48 hours without sleep. 9:00AM in the morning we need to be at the breakfast’s table to plan the trip. To rent a car was the less expense and secure option considering the current situation in Haiti. At the rental car the Lord glorified Himself; we have the next 16 souls harvest for the Lord. Family reunion The night of the second day, my brother with his family and two of my aunts came to see me. I rejoice to see them after 9 years without seeing my family in my country. One of my aunts, my brother Emilio, his wife and his 5 year old son accepted Jesus as their savior. They did that last time I was there; but, there was no one to fallow up to them. This time I will do that personally. I could see in the spirit huge needs in my brother’s life. I felt guilty about it, I thought maybe I have not taken enough time to share and preach more about Jesus with him. May be as many of us I was so concern for other that I did not take enough time for my own family. This trip also helped me to review how much time I give to my family, and I decided to spend more time with them and share more about the Gospel with them. “Jerusalem first,” said the Bible. | A great harvest in the way to Haiti In our way to Haiti, we stopped to pick up my cousin Belgica. For me that was special and a moment full of joy; as you see, the Lord has been so good to me in this trip. On our next stop, Bernard, Belgica and I asked to use a bathroom to a group of men, they said, “ask to the lady next door, but be careful, she is a very anger lady.” The lady invited us into her home, she received the Lord and was touched by the Holy Spirit, she wanted us to stay and eat (we cannot accept the last). We pray for her and her family. She asked us to visit her in our way back. I took her contact information to follow up. We crossed the border after waiting about 3 hours in a car line, getting out and in of the car to worship the Lord. Every time we got out worshiping the line started to move when we stopped worship the car line stopped, and so on. The last time we got out worshiping, John Bailey and me prayed and prophesied for a Dominican Christian couple who do business at the border and one of their employees received the Lord; after that the line moved and we crossed to Haiti. We have led 29 souls to the Lord until now. Finally we arrived to Pastor Lerime Wilson’s house. Two years waiting to met El Bethel’s children

Next morning Friday 26 of March, we visited the orphanage El Bethel the House of Children. I met the children, pastor Milhomme, his wife Madam Magali and their own children. That was an emotional moment for me; I was waiting to go to Haiti to meet them for more than two years. They still at the mountain outside of Port Prince at the same place where they were in February when my pastor was there. For security reason they are not allowed by the government to return to the orphanage building. They were without water; we gave some water to the children and we bought some food provisions. Every place we visited received a monetary offering. The place is not secured and the children of El Bethel need a new place to stay. We need your support to help them, as well as, other street’s children in Haiti.
Adult and children are still traumatized Saturday 27, we visited other orphanages; the first one was Community Salem caring by Pastor Mersidieu. They were about 20 children some under 10 years and most of them less than 6 years old. They look so hopeless and they were in extremely needs; they are in a temporary place and they have no other place to go. My heart was really broke by the need of these children. The next orphanage was in construction, but in better conditions. The pastor lost his wife during the earthquake. The children were older and they looked anger; which is normal because their circumstances and the trauma have suffered. Many of them asked prayer for their heart and their stomach. As social worker, I could observe that many children and adults at the orphanage and congregations we visited were suffering of anxiety and Post Traumatic Disorder (PTD), and they received little or no care. We prayed for delivering those areas for people that came to us for prayer. But, many of them need counseling or pastoral care. |
The Glory at the mountain
Early morning on Wednesday we started walking to the next mountain for about five hours. After while climbing the mountain I felt a strong pain in my calf leg, I thought I won’t be able to make, but I quite. The Spirit reminded me Habakkuk 3:19 and I started to sing “The Lord has made my feet like deer’s feet and He will make me walk on my high hills.” The pain left, and I started to run and cry out “it is gone, it is gone.” With that and others praise song I climbed the mountain. In one of the mountain in our way, Bernard led a large group of people to the Lord. They wanted us to stay over there. The whole group rejoiced and worshiped the Lord while we were climbing the mountain. There was about 10 people more from the village joined us and helping us with our belongings.
The more beautiful and glorious happened at the top of that mountain. Beautiful, kind and lovely people who have nothing, and they worship the Lord just because He is the Lord and for anything else. If they do that, how much should we do it? (The Church of Christ in USA who has so much). 3:30 AM we heard the sound of the shofar. 5:30 AM we started the morning with a group of young men worshiping the Lord with beautiful praise in Creole. I could not understand the lyric, but my spirit rejoiced inside me. Pastor Milhomme organized a community clinic with a certificated nurse. Some adult and children received healing while or after we prayed for them during the clinic time. We preached two times in the church; we visited one family at the village and all of them received the Lord. I enjoy the nature and worship the Lord under the open sky at the mountain was priceless. In addition, it reminded me my childhood at my grandparent’s land, where I spent the more beautiful times of my childhood. Very early on Friday the way down the mountain was more difficult than the way going up; we came down by a different way with more than 25 people. About 4 to 5 hours walking, but we did it worshiping the Lord and rejoice in our heart. I did not know how it happened, but for a while I was in a different way with two young men from the orphanage; but, soon with met the rest of the group at a river. I could not miss to get my feet in that delicious water. In the afternoon, we got back to pastor Lerime’s home.
Last Sunday On Sunday 4, the service at El Bethel was glorious; but, I felt a spiritual batter in the air, so my cousin and I started to be interceding before the service all through to the end of the meeting. Glorious morning to coming back to DR
At 6:00 AM in there morning, we were ready to leave when we were surprise by the worship leader, a group of women and a man from Pastor Lerime Wilner’s church. They came praising and worshiping the Lord, and they stayed we us for about an hour. I believe the Lord has done something big in that family and their congregation during the time we were there. My cousin and I were praying and interceding for them every day, and we are still doing it. I declare the Lord will multiply all their blessing to us with spiritual, family and economic blessing for all of them. Back to the border I felt a spiritual oppression heavy than when we were coming in. I understood that were the enemy legion of retaliation. Anyway, he has not power over us; we and our families are covered by the Blood of Jesus. This is the Lord battler and He has win for us. We are more than concourse and Victorian and Jesus Name, and all the glory and honor are below to Him. IFORMATION: Josefina (203) 548-0508 | Stop to glorify and thanks the Lord for the mission victory We stoped to praise and thank the Lord for we have been completed the mission in victory and be back to DR safe. My cousin danced for the Lord for the first time. I crossed the street and went to a mango saleswoman, she was Christian; but, I started to preach to another woman and her family who came to buy mango. The woman wanted to receive the Lord but she wanted her family to do it too; I tried to preach to everyone. However, there were too many interruptions and for a moment I thought everybody will leave. So, for not to lose the moment, I asked to the woman to make the confession first and then after we will do it with the rest of family. After finish the prayer, John Bailey preached to everybody. We were in the same spirit looking to lead everybody to Jesus, and we did; excepting two young girls who felt not ready yet. At the other side of the street John Lowen led another group of people to Lord also. The last one to join in that group of people was a man who came last to buy mango too. But, this last one took my face between his hands while I was praying for him. I got a little impressed by that; but, I kept the control and finish the pray. If I allowed the impression to control me, I may have a different reaction and disturb so important moment. Thanks Jesus that has delivered me of fears. Thanks for He has thought me to work with all kind of people at every social level. My based of practice is “never to judge and not to make judgment to anyone, neither for who they are, neither for what they do.” Only the Lord knows every heart and the history that shaped their personality and behaviors. Only the Lord could delivery people from spiritual bond and emotional traumas, when they are ready and when they want to receive healing. While that occur, I am called just to love them, to give testimony of Jesus in my life and to preach them the Gospel and the Kingdom of God. Young people for Christ from a carnival celebration In another stop we lead to Jesus a group of about 18 young people who were having a carnival celebration. Then, before dropping Belgica at her home, we passed by to meet her pastor a senior Apostle lady who ruled over 15 churches. She is waiting for the Lord to bring someone to take her place so she could retire. At Belgica’s home, we had a delicious dinner and sweet beans. Some of my family members were there. One of my aunts gets back to Jesus. The sweetness of the Holy Spirit We finally got to Valdez’s home after being little lost in the city. I missed the opportunity to contemplate the beauty of the Caribbean Sea and its beautiful and spectacular surf. Another time the Lord will allow me to come back to country and delight myself watching our beautiful sea. Next day we have a wonderful service at church in La Romana where Pastor Valdez preached a powerful massage. In a church that we stop before we get there, I was surprised by one sweet little girl that came to me and hug me as she did not one to left me go. The sweetness of the Holy Spirit is irresistible. The Little girl received the Lord, and I spoke with a leader woman of the church to follow up with her. The church was tremendously prospered; Tuesday night was completely full with more the 2000 thousand people and an extra room for 200 hundred more. The Lord spoke to us prophetic in that church. We can do and have the best for the Lord with excellent and abundance, and we will, as Pastor Mercedes always teach us about. Wednesday afternoon we went with my brother to the beach, the water was delicious. Long way back home The trip back home was as long as the trip to come; we left Thursday at 6:30 AM and I get Home Friday at 3:00 AM. While I was waiting for my train from Washington to Stamford I spoke with my son and with Belgica, I eat, prayed and cried. I lost one of my suitcases with all the cloths I took to the trip; however, I was quite; I knew exactly why that happened. The Lord will provide me more and better for me. I prayed and thanked the Lord with my mother and my sister in Christ Carmen for be back home and to find every one saved and everything in order. Glory to be to Our Lord Jesus Christ All Majesty God, aleluya, forever and ever, amen.
